Start with reversible changes
Record the current resolution, display mode, refresh rate, graphics preset, GPU driver version, and build number. Take a screenshot or phone video before changing settings.
Toggle V-Sync once, switch between fullscreen and borderless, then return to a native display resolution. Restart the game after each single change so you know which step mattered.
Separate a settings problem from a save problem
Test the main menu and a fresh save. If the issue appears before loading a save, include that in the report; if it appears only in one location, capture the map area and weather conditions.
Do not remove save folders or reinstall drivers as a first step. Check official hotfix notes for display or V-Sync changes before taking higher-risk action.
Send a useful report
Include build, Windows version, GPU, driver, monitor setup, display settings, reproduction steps, and visual evidence. Link the exact Steam discussion if you are adding confirmation to an existing report.
