Before you leave the starting area
Open the settings menu, confirm movement and interaction bindings, and note the current build number. Early Access hotfixes can change controls and quest triggers quickly.
Test the interaction key on a nearby object before walking far. If the prompt does not appear, reload once and check the Fixes section instead of assuming the item is decorative.
If you plan to play co-op, test the invite and join flow immediately. Official launch messaging supports online co-op for up to four players, but community reports indicate that some sessions need troubleshooting.
Build a safe resource loop
Prioritize water, food, and a small reserve of wood. The official description confirms gathering, farming, mining, smelting, crafting, and homestead construction as the core loop.
Collect only enough ore to test the smelting and crafting chain. Early-session efficiency matters less than learning which workstation unlocks the next verified recipe in your build.
Place early structures where you can see and revisit them easily. Avoid a permanent layout until you understand terrain collision and expansion space.
End the session with evidence
Take one screenshot of your build number, map position, quest log, and any bug. A reproducible report is more useful than a vague description.
Record which actions were confirmed in your current build. This site deliberately avoids publishing exact recipe costs or quest coordinates until they are cross-checked against the live release.
