What is officially supported
The Steam feature list includes single-player, online co-op, and LAN co-op. The official Early Access announcement states that up to four players can play together online.
No cross-platform claim is listed on the PC store page. Do not assume console support or cross-play until the developer announces it.
Before you host
Have every player update Steam and the game, then compare the build number visible in-game. Restart Steam after a hotfix if one machine is still on an older build.
Create a fresh test session before troubleshooting a long-running save. Invite one player first, confirm movement and interaction, then add the rest of the party.
If joining fails
Capture the exact error, host region, session type, build numbers, and whether a fresh save behaves differently. Check the newest Steam announcement and discussion threads for a matching report.
Community posts can reveal patterns, but they are not official fixes. Avoid deleting saves or disabling security software without a verified developer instruction.
